Seven Seconds Down, for Meta Quest (Android package com.planky.planky).
Effective 2026-09-05. This policy replaces all earlier versions.
Summary. Seven Seconds Down does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash or telemetry reporting, and no network features of any kind. Everything the app saves is written to your own headset and never leaves it.
What data the app processes, and why
Your settings and progress. Audio volume levels, the comfort setting, which scenarios you have completed, your play statistics (rides taken, falls, best distance walked), the saved position of your calibrated board, and a counter for how many rides you have played so first ride hints stop appearing. This is written to the app's own private storage on the headset, so the game remembers your setup between sessions. It contains no name, no account identifier, and nothing that identifies you as a person. It is never transmitted anywhere.
One spatial anchor. So the virtual plank stays lined up with your real board between sessions, the app saves a single spatial anchor using the Meta Quest platform's spatial anchor feature. The anchor is a position in your headset's own map of your space. It is stored on the device by the headset's operating system, under Meta's handling of that feature, and is not uploaded, copied, or read by us.
Passthrough video. When you set up your board, and whenever the "Show the room" control is used to let you see your surroundings, the app displays the headset's passthrough camera view. Camera images are composited by the headset itself. The app never receives, records, analyses, or transmits the passthrough image, and does not have access to it as data.
Hand and controller tracking. While you play, the headset's operating system supplies the position of your head, hands, and controllers so the game can draw them and react to them. These positions are used for the current frame and then discarded. They are never written to storage and never transmitted.
Ownership check. On launch, the app asks the Meta Quest platform whether the signed in account owns Seven Seconds Down, which the Meta Horizon Store requires. This request is handled by the Meta platform under Meta's own privacy policy. The app receives only a yes or no answer, and keeps no record of it.
What the app does not do
No data is used for advertising, profiling, training any model, or any purpose other than running the game on your headset. No data is sold or shared with any third party. The app has no servers and makes no network requests of its own.
Permissions
The app requests the spatial anchor permission described above. It does not request microphone, camera image access, location, contacts, or external storage permissions.
How to delete your data
Because nothing is sent off your headset, you are always in full control of everything the app has saved. There is never a fee for any of this.
In the app. Open Options from the main menu and choose Reset progress and board. This erases your statistics, your scenario progress, and your saved board position, including the spatial anchor.
Uninstall. Uninstalling Seven Seconds Down from your headset deletes the app's private storage and everything in it.
By email. Write to support@sevensecondsdown.com and we will confirm what is held for you, which is nothing on our side, and talk you through removing anything saved on your device. We answer every such request within 30 days.
There are no deletion requests we are unable to fulfil, because we hold no copy of anything to begin with.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, including children. There is no data collection to differ by age.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Seven Seconds Down ever changes how data is handled, this page will be updated with a new effective date, and the store listing will link to the updated page before that version is released.
